Review-Vampire Kisses:The Beginning by Ellen Schreiber

The mansion on top of Benson Hill has stood empty for years. But one day it seems to be occupied, and Alexander Sterling becomes the source of much talk around town. Raven, a Vampire-Obsessed-Goth who has always considered herself an outsider in "Dullsville," is determined to uncover the truth surrounding the secretive Alexander. AS she gets to know him, and their spark intensifies, Raven finds herself in some unanticipated situations. Can Alexander make her lifelong dream come true? But love always has its complications, especially when it can only be awakened at night.

Vampire Kisses takes the real vampires of olden day, like Dracula, and put's them into modern day life. Vampire Kisses is probably the farthest away from a "modern day" vampire as possible. They sleep during the day and do what vampires do at night. They don't sparkle in the sun light, or stop cars, or not sleep at all. They are what you would call Classical Vampires. Vampries that sleep in coffins and do what normal vampires do, but they look like any normal human, well normal to some people like Raven. When you read the first chapter you will be hooked. This series is a series that will make you wish you were Raven or even a Vampire like Alexander for that fact. Is the weird kid that wears all black and only come out at night that lives in that old mansion down the street just weird, or is he a vampire?

Ellen Schreiber does a fantastic job with bringing back the classical vampires and putting them into a modern based story. Nobody wants to hear about vampires that sparkle in the sunlight or never sleep. People want to read a book with vampires that sleep in coffins and only come out at night. Once you read the first three books which are compiled into one book, you will be dying to read books four, five, and six. Dance with a Vampire, The Coffin Club, and Royale Blood. I promise you, you will get hooked onto this fantastic nail-biting, blood sucking book.

Review-The Summoning by Kelley Armstrong

Chloe Saunders used to havea pretty normal life. But that changed on the day she met her first ghost. Locked up in Lyle House, a group home for troubled teens, she finds out that there's more to the home's teen residents than meets the eye. Will Chloe be able to uncover the dangerous secrets of Lyle House...or will its skeletons come back to haunt her?

The Summoning is an outstanding book. Throughout the book are led on to believe so many different things. Is Lyle House really a home for troubled teens or is it something else, out of the ordinary? Is the house haunted by a poltergeist? or is something up with Liz. Does Rae have a weird obsession with fire or can she burn things with her bare hands? Lyle House is made out to make you believe that the teens at the house just have mental illnesses like Schizophrenia, Pyromaniac, Bipolar, you name it, somebody at the house probably has it. Kelley has turned an ordinary Teen house into a paranormal sanctuary. Half demons, Necromancers, Werewolves, and sorcerers. It makes you wonder if teen homes actually consist of people that can talk to the dead or do things like create fog with a couple of words.

Once you read The Summoning you will be dying to read the sequel, The Awakening, which is just as amazing as the first book.

Next review is for the book Vampire Kisses by Ellen Shreiber.
